2022 Holiday Cookies!

I’m a little bummed this year that I won’t be in Ohio for the holidays, but that means I get to spend my very first Christmas in California with Olive and Reuben and watch Olive tear into her presents (we got her a dried pig ear from Paris and I’m still not sure how I’m going to wrap that). I go pretty hard on the cookies each year and since I won’t be near family to easily share the bounty of my baking marathon, I’m sending out cookie tins instead. So I developed 3 new cookie recipes that are not only festive and delicious, but are also sturdy and can withstand a cross country journey.

This year’s cookie tins feature Mocha Matcha Festive Trees (or Cacti), Buckwheat Chocolate Chip Crunch Cookies, Rice Cracker and Chocolate Shortbread, and Kinako Butter Cookies (from Mooncakes and Milk Bread). There’s something for everyone! There’s some color, whimsy, sprinkles, and lots of interesting textures. When you see them all together they give off a Christmas in the desert sort of vibe and I love it.

All these recipes are on the blog today and I hope to see some of these cookies make an appearance in your holiday baking weekends!
